Standalone Water Leak Detector | 3-Year Battery Life

Does work when I simulated a leak, just wish it was louder.
It's built robustly, I've got mine in a kitchen cupboard under the sink where all the waste connections are.
Once the cupboard door is closed it's muffled.

The building quality seems very very robust and sturdy.

I've had a few issues in a bathroom where water continues to find is way out, and its weeks before we can notice anything when it appears in the room below. I hope this will give me an early warning system on it.

I haven't been able to install it yet due to delays on the bathroom renovations, but hopefully I will update this as soon as anything changes. but for now I really nice this idea and hope it will save my house from flooding

I got this to test if there was any water leaks in my bathroom and I guess it does work but only if the water is so deep. If it's dripping somewhere, it will not detect it until the water has touched the sensors, which is what it's supposed to do, but I just feel like it's missing something. Other than that it is really good and I can see why it is very popular

Build Quality
The detector is compact, solid, and well presented. It feels robust enough for long term use in kitchens, bathrooms, or utility rooms.

Battery Life
It comes with pre installed AAA batteries and claims to last up to three years. I cannot confirm that yet, but on face value this is excellent. I understand it will warn you when the battery is getting low, but it is still sensible to check once in a while. I have put in a simple reminder on your phone for every six months would be wise.

Detection Performance
The Wisualarm works reliably with drips on the top, pooling water beneath, or via the 1.2m probe for drains, under sinks, or other hard to reach areas. It is very sensitive, even wet finger sets it off. I have tried detectors before that had drip and pool sensors, but the addition of the long probe here is particularly useful. I installed it under the sink that also takes the drainage from the washing machine and dishwasher, as well as the mains water pipes and stopcock. In such a location it is extremely reassuring. The alarm is not piercingly loud like a smoke alarm, but in high use areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, or cloakrooms it seems to me to be perfectly acceptable.

Ease of Use
Operation is straightforward with a single on off button, plus a mute option if needed. It is easy to test and can be wall mounted using the supplied plate and screws.

Value for Money
At 隆锚13.99 this represents good value. Like smoke, fire, and CO? alarms, it is best viewed as part of a safety plan protecting your home, your health, and your wallet. On that basis, its another item that I feel every home should have.

Overall Impression
A well designed, versatile, and sensitive water leak detector. While the alarm is not that loud, for everyday household use it provides an extra peace of mind at a fair price. Strongly recommended.
